Commencement culminates
students' academic journey
Commencement at Columbus State University is a solemn celebration that
recognizes the culmination of many hours of work by our students and
our faculty. Held on campus in the Lumpkin Center twice a year, at the end
of the fall and spring semesters, commencement is a time of great pride for CSU's faculty and staff, as well as for students and their families.
Spring 2008 commencement will be held Saturday, May 10,
2008. Due to the large number of candidates participating in the
commencement exercises, there will be two separate ceremonies. Please note
the times below and the colleges participating in each ceremony.
10 a.m., College of Science and D. Abbott Turner
College of Business
3 p.m., College of Arts and Letters, College of Education and University
College
The fall 2008 commencement has been set for 10 a.m.
Saturday, Dec. 13, 2008.
A unique graduation gift
opportunity ...
A new book,
Enriching Lives: A Pictorial History of Columbus State University,
could be the ideal gift for students graduating during CSU’s 50th
anniversary year. Written by CSU Archivist Reagan Grimsley, the 128-page
hardback includes more than 180 photos from the past five decades.
The CSU Bookstore will sell the books at tables inside the Lumpkin Center
before and after commencement on May 10. Copies also can be purchased in the
bookstore in Davidson Student Center or online at any time at
http://www.columbus.bkstr.com. The cost for this keepsake is just
$29.95.
